methyl triC^{9~11^} alkyl ammonium chloride - Introduction
Alias T402, namely N-methyl-N,N-diphenyl methyl aniline, is an organic compound. Its chemical formula is C19H17N and its molecular weight is 255.35g/mol. T402 is a yellow solid, soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol, chloroform and toluene.
The main use of T402 is as a reagent for organic synthesis reactions. It is commonly used as a catalyst for dyeing and dyeing reactions of aldehydes or ketones, and can also be used in the synthesis of dyes and drugs. In addition, T402 can also be used as an oxidant, chlorinating agent and reducing agent, and sometimes in organic electrochemical and photochemical reactions.
The preparation method of T402 can be obtained by the acid-base catalyzed reaction of aniline and formaldehyde under acidic conditions. Specifically, aniline and formaldehyde can be reacted at an appropriate temperature using hydrochloric acid or sulfuric acid as a catalyst, and purified by crystallization to obtain pure T402.
Regarding safety information, T402 is toxic and can cause irritation to humans. Care should be taken to avoid direct contact with skin, eyes, and mucous membranes when using or touching T402. If you ingest or inhale too much T402, consult a doctor immediately. Wear appropriate protective equipment including gloves, goggles and protective clothing when operating T402. In addition, T402 should be stored in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place, and away from fire and flammable materials.
